Backstory

In a future not so far away…

There is a utopian metropolis where players and droids coexist in perfect harmony. However, an unprecedented threat known as NEXUS emerges and initiates a countdown to an apocalyptic event.

This event threatens to erase both players and droids. United by their shared fate, players and their friendly droid companions must enter a complex series of challenges to shut down NEXUS and save their world.

Players to choose 1 out of 3 challenge tracks to tackle:

1. Defence – City Shield. In light of the impending threats, the city’s defences have to be enhanced to ensure the survival of the players and droids.
2. Productivity – Metropolis Accelerator. Manpower has been diverted from daily operations to defeat NEXUS, but daily life must continue. Due to limited manpower, there is a need to optimise productivity to ensure the metropolis can function efficiently.
3. Sustainability – Green Guardian. In preparation for a sustainable post-apocalyptic world, optimisation is necessary due to the potential scarcity of resources. This is crucial for the continued existence of the metropolis.

Challenge Objective:

Projects shall aim to help train defence personnel and improve situational awareness and decision making by leveraging on simulation and training in the context of defence technology applications. Projects may include but are not limited to the following potential applications.

Examples of Potential Applications:

• Improving Situational Awareness: Create XR tools that improve situational awareness of military personnel in complex scenarios.
